My teeth aren’t yellow or anything, but they’re not pearly whites. I really want to have super white teeth but I have braces, so I can’t get whitening or use Crest Whitestrips or anything. I brush atleast twice a day, usually three or four times though. I use mouthwash, and floss. But my teeth still aren’t really white. Any advice to make them whiter?

I work at a big company, it is kind of awkward to brush your teeth in the bathroom. So I was wondering if i can just gargle with mouth wash instead? Thank you.

Anyone know of any good individual dental insurance plans with orthodontics? I know the coverage for the orthodontics won’t be much but the insurance I have right now is with my husband’s employer and there is no ortho.
Any help would be great.

It honestly takes me 20 minutes to floss my teeth, and therefore it doesn’t get done very often. Is flossing even important, and is there an easier way to floss with braces as oppose to flosss threaders?

I was told to get those, but I wanted the normal metal ones so I could be that much closer to build a bionic masterpiece.

The orthodontist gave me a very thick splint about 3 months ago to wear at night. It has helped a little bit, but very slowly. Every time I go to the orthodontist, he just tells me to wear the appliance more. I would like to explore more treatment methods by going to a TMJ specialist, but our insurance doesn’t cover it and my mom doesn’t want to pay thousands of dollars. My jaw has locked more than twice in the past and it clicks almost every time I open my mouth. Would a TMJ specialist be a good option?

The best place to go is to your local orthodontist. Talk to your dentist to see who he generally refers to, go for a consultation to see if you like the office and dentist and staff but choose one that is easy for you to get to because with ortho you will be having lots of adjustment appointment that only take a short time so an office where you can easily drop in close to home or work makes most sense.
