Is it possible for someone to wear braces for only two months? I want to straighten my teeth in a short time. Does tightening the braces ever work? Is there any other options besides braces or invisible braces?

Forgot to ask my doctor this. Had the procedure yesterday and my teeth move back into place pretty fast so I NEED my retainer! I don’t want to damage my blood clot though. Any ideas?

I will be getting my Invisalign trays in a couple of weeks. Its already been paid for but now I really want to enlist in the Air Force. Is it allowed to wear invisalign trays during basic training? If so how difficult would it make it and is it recommended?

I’m getting my braces off in a few weeks, and I was just wondering – what kind of retainer do you have to wear after? I have some friends who had to wear permanant retainers, while others wore some that they had to wear 24hr/day, and others who just wore an invisible one at night.
Obviously, an invisible one just worn at night would be preferable. But I was wondering what kinds of retainers people wore immediately after getting braces off and for how long?

I normally wear the really thin rubber bands that are nice and loose. (the ones with the seal on it) My orthodontist asked if I had the fish kind..so I assumed she meant the seal kind. It turns out that my rubber bands are a lot thicker than the ones I should be wearing. Will this make a huge difference and mess up my teeth?

My orthodontic dentist made me wear elastics and I had worn them for 2 months but he said for several months, but I dont have huge gaps between my teeth. He made me wear Class II Elastics: an elastic running from the upper front teeth to the lower back teeth to be more specific, in how many months do you think I will have to wear those, and how many months did you worn them?

I know you need retainers after braces, but is it different for Invisalign? I heard that because Invisalign is removable, your teeth are still able to support themselves, so you don’t need retainers. Is that true?
