I’m about to get all four of my wisdom teeth removed, and I know that it will take me a few days to get better. Would I be able to get braces a month from now? Do I have to wait maybe two or more months?

I got my 4 biscupids extracted on last Friday for Braces. My dentist has already put the brackets on my upper teeth and I have an appointment on Wednesday to get the wire/braces on the upper teeth. My gums still pain a little and I have a couple of mouth ulcers. Should I wait more and postpone my appontment? or just get it over with?

Forgot to ask my doctor this. Had the procedure yesterday and my teeth move back into place pretty fast so I NEED my retainer! I don’t want to damage my blood clot though. Any ideas?

The orthodontist chipped my tooth when he was replacing a bracket. I didn’t know it until I got home but I knew it was feeling weird and when it wasn’t going away I looked in the mirror and the tooth is chipped a little bit? What should I do? What can I get from the ortho and how do I go about it? There’s been nothing but problems from this place but it’s the only place that takes my insurance. What do I do?

I got my braces on last week and one of the brackets came off so I got it redone and the glue keeps coming off my front tooth. The bracket is still on the wire and all the rest are connected to my teeth. Is this OK? Has anyone got a way of helping me to keep the bracket on my tooth so that I don’t have to get it redone again?

What if you have a loose tooth with braces?
I have had braces for almost a year now. And my right side has been hurting when I chew. It stops hurting sometimes. But when i push on my 2nd to last molar it kind of hurts and it moves a tiny bit. It’s the tooth that my last bracket is attached to on the bottom. Is it really bad of it’s loose? Will it be okay if I just don’t play with it? Ughh help? PS: I don’t think I lost all my teeth before getting braces. And I know teeth get loose from braces, but this has never been loose before and it doesn’t feel like my teeth normally feel when they are shifting.

I have to choose tooth extraction or slenderizing for my son’s orthodontic treatment in order to have enough room in his mouth to fit his teeth. What should I consider in terms of risks, costs, and final outcomes when making this decision?

I’m getting braces and from what I’ve overheard they are going to be put on next appointment. I’ve gone through everything pre-braces besides extraction. I’ll need 4 bicuspids removed, and from some sources I’ve heard that braces can be put on immediately following. Is this common? And will I have the option to have them put on immediately following if it’s possible? Thanks in advance.

My ten year old has just had his braces adjusted to promote spacing on the top. The orthodontist said that this will hurt for a week, to the extent that even just soft foods may be edible. Is it normal that the pain be for so long?

Okay, so i’m 23 and getting braces in two weeks. My orthodontist had four molars (they were bad and capped and filled) removed along with a baby tooth. However, i had to have an oral surgeon remove them and he knew it was for braces. However, i’ve read other places that the surgeon puts a bracket on the adult tooth that is still hiding while your under, but he didn’t do that for me? What is the next option? I dont want to have to go under again, that was not pleasurable!!
