im a young adult who needs $12,000 in dental work and jaw realignment because i didnt get orthodontics as a child when the dentist said i needed them.
my parents are seperated : my father refused to pay for anything when i was a child (hes quite wealthy) and my mother and her partner chose to be hippies living off welfare (so they had no money for it)
is it wrong of me to now ask them for the $4,000 the dentist quoted for my teeth as a child?
considering all the pain and suffering, and the fact that all these problems are a direct result of a serverly bad bite, should i be upset with them and ask for the whole amount i have to pay now?
i have a very small income and no dental insurance

I am thinking about becoming an orthodontist and I dont know where i should complete undergrad: a local community college or the University where i want to gradute from with a degree in orthodontics.

One of my friend got his wisdom teeth pulled out, but i think they took his braces off. I have braces right now, and i was wondering if i’m getting my wisdom teeth pulled out or not. They already grew. Thanks!

It seems the braces would obstruct him being able to work on one’s teeth. Also, is it preferable to get braces after having all dental work done or does it matter?

I am just looking for some answers as i am getting them adjusted every 4 weeks and i have spoken to other people that have had braces and they say every 6 – 7 weeks. The 4 week adjustment time is my idea as i do not want to have them for very long, so my orthadontist said i can have them adjusted earlier. Has anyone experienced this and has the estimated time been shortened.

Last night I felt a pop in my mouth and when I felt in there, my top-left bracket was loose, came right off my tooth. A half hour later the bracket itself fell off and the wire is all that’s left and it’s been jabbing my cheek all night. It’s 7:30 now and the office opens at 9. How is this going to work?

My teeth need to be straightened, I had braces at 16 but my teeth have moved tremendously. Are invisalign something you wear forever?

I have a small crack on my top Invisalign tray. It super small and doesn’t seem to affect anything. I know they’re supposed to be tough, so I’m surprised it would crack like this. As long as the tray still fits fine, should it be ok? I switch to the next one next week, so I’m guessing its no big deal.

I had spoken to one of their offices where they took my information so that they could send me a credit so that I can get my work finished somewhere else. I called today and was told by the same office that they closed or sold the office. I never received any credit and have unfinished orthodontic work. Is there anything I can do. Please Help. I cannot afford to pay for treatment.
