i need an exposure on a impacted tooth for orthodontics can my dentist do it ?

Is it possible to fix an open bite without surgery? I.e with orthodontics? My dentist told me that it’s not possible without surgery, is that true?
I ask because I seem to remember something about correcting it.

I’m 35 and want braces. When I went for my consult I was told I had so much going on in my mouth that I might need some type of surgical work done before I put braces on. I have a missing tooth in the upper front of my mouth that have been missing since I was 8yrs old so all my teeth are going all over the place. I ask if insurance would cover the surgical part, if I ended up needing it and she said no. I’m so ready to feel good about myself and I know I can’t pay for anything surgical. I don’t have money like that. I’m a single mother of three. I don’t want to give up because I need to do this for me. Can anyone give me some advice or is there any dentist that can do some pro bono work to help me out, please. I have lived like this for 27yrs and it hurts. Thanks and have a bless day.

I’m having the procedure done if my insurance pays for it or isn’t too costly to me. I’ll also be having lower jaw surgery post-orthodontics.

I’m about to get all four of my wisdom teeth removed, and I know that it will take me a few days to get better. Would I be able to get braces a month from now? Do I have to wait maybe two or more months?

Does anybody know if Dental and Orthodontics schools have a program where their student will perform lower jaw surgery for free or a discounted rate?

My problem is that I need Orthodontics for my maxillofacial surgery but my teeth are straight, my surgeon said I possibly need ortodontics for 6 weeks or less. The fact is the cost because i had braces before and the it was too expensive.. I had them for 2 years but this is totally different.. please help!
