Can You Start With Traditional Braces And Go To Invisalign When Your Teeth Are Straighter?

My teeth are too crooked and crowded to start with invisalign, but I’m 18 years old and I don’t want metal braces for three years. Could I get traditional braces now and in about a year or so move to invisalign?
