I just got my braces tightened and they hurt so bad that its geting to the point where its hard to eat!!! Any household remedies or medicine to stop this?

i got braces yesterday and they didn’t hurt, but all day today they have hurt like crazy. any suggestions?

I just got rubber bands on my braces today, along with having the braces tightened. I am determined to keep the bands on, because I am so close to getting my braces off. I am getting headaches allot. How can I stop the pain at school and while I’m asleep?

I have had braces since august and it is now June. This hasn’t happened before but all of the sudden they are rubbing up against my cheeks. It doesn’t really hurt very bad, but I’m losing a lot of ‘mouth’. There are large crevices and indents in my cheeks and it’s getting worse. I’ve tried wax and Origel but it doesn’t stop it. HELP!

I’ve had braces since January and this is my second tightening. Before a couple advil would take care of it but this time advil isn’t doing the trick! I’ve had constant pain since Tuesday. He’s started trying to close the gap in the front. Help! What else can I take?

I have been wearing Invisalign “braces” for several months now. Now that I’m on my last set of trays, whenever I take my trays out, I always seem to be clenching my teeth. I think I’m doing it because my teeth aren’t used to being in a particular position.
Is there any way I can prevent the clenching? I fear that I might be damaging my front teeth by doing so, and I’d really like to stop.

I got braces on the top front teeth today and they finish a little bit in from the corner of my mouth and they are scratching whenever I move my mouth. I tried using the wax but it doesn’t stay on for very long. It just keeps falling off (I am putting it on properly). Is there any other method?

I got braces Thursday- top and bottom. I have an extremely high pain tolerance, but this is seriously torture! I am constantly on the verge of tears! (I have about 5 ulcers right now also which isn’t helping) I know the time length varies, but on average, about how long will it be before my mouth feels better?
