im wondering if they both involve a mold of your mouth to be taken and which one requires more work to be done inside your mouth

I got braces for the first time yesterday,and they are killing me! I tried to eat cereal for brekfast (didnt work) and a sandwich for lunch (ditto), and it seems the only things i can eat without pain(and chewing) is yoghurt. Will it always be like this, and what can i eat that doesnt need much chewing?
