I went to the ortho a few weeks ago, and got my braces. he said on that day that in 6months if i hadn’t lost my last baby tooth that he would “help it along” There is a tooth under it that is coming in so why would he say this?

that they won’t get my teeth completely straight. I was wondering if I start off with invisalign until my teeth are straighter and then get regular braces.

He said if I want my teeth to stay straight that I should wear my retainers every night for the rest of my life. They hurt like KRAZY I’ve had them since last year and they STILL hurt. What should I do?

The problem? Im 16 and a junior in high school. The ortho told me that I would have traditional braces on for almost two years which would be a pain for senior year! But invisalign teen would take 14-18 months and would work just as well.

I am talking to my Dental office about braces and the front desk girl said she got them and had to quite using them because they were so painful. She said wire braces don’t hurt as much and only the truly dedicated will stick it through with invisalign.
Is this true? I really only want invisalign because no one can see them and I could still talk and eat normally.
Did she just have a bad Ortho do it or something?
