I need three questions for tomorr–well, today. Asking an orthodontist or preferably a dentist, three questions about…..I suppose anything. But I want these questions to be fun, interesting, and I guess elaborate for the doctor to answer upon. Uh…….anything you guys can think of that’s helpful would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. =)

Okay well my mom is calling the orthodontist office and she is making me a consultation appointment and I wanted to know what all they due up until you get the braces on , Please help

I’m thinking about getting Invisalign instead of the traditional braces. I have an overbite thats kind of major, so would they be able to fix this?
and I’m having a hard time understanding the treatments. Are there only two treatments? express treatment for minor and full treatment?
If i get the full treatment, can I cancel anytime I want to? or do I have to stick with it until the end results? thanks!

i want to shop around for braces cuz i really need braces. ive already suffered through 4 years of highschool with disgustingly crooked teeth now that i have a job i feel its a necessity.

Hi all..Okay first off..about a year or so ago, I went to the dentist to get an exam and xrays..i needed cavities filled as well asl ike 2 root canels..At that time, I had NO money and no insurance. Now, I changed dentists, i have very LITTLE $$ and very LITTLE insurance. This new dentist wants even more cavities and well as a ton more root canals. I wouldn’t think my mouth would have gotten that worse in only a year. I am really wanting braces also.
If I visit an orthodontist, would he be able to tell me exactly what I need done in order to have braces put on? I’m thinking the 2nd dentist i went to, is only in it for the $$, so maybe the orthodontist can tell me how it is and what i need done..any info would be great! thanks guys!

I’m going to the orthodontist in about a few days, first to get spacers, then brackets, then all the wires and stuff. One of my friends who went through the same process said the spacers didn’t hurt at all, but when she got the brackets it tasted horrible, she bled a lot, and it hurt a ton! I’ve heard other stories when the brackets didn’t hurt at all. Anyone have any personal experiences? I’m not sure what to expect! Thanks!

Specific – the initial care of your teeth prior the getting braces and Is it better to go to a regular dentist first?

I’m planning on getting braces in a few weeks. What kind of questions should I ask the Orthodontist? I’m putting my teeth in their hands, I want to make everything’ll turn out ok.
