My brother is having braces fitted in a couple of weeks to try to close a gap in his upper front teeth. His dentist says he will need to cut some tissue between his teeth to facilitate this.He’s (my brother) worried that this might leave a noticeable scar when he smiles….anybody out there any experience of this procedure, how did it go for you? no links please…thanks

Does most of the movement/change occur in the beginning part of the treatment?

Im goin into the navy in late august, but i need to get braces fro about 2.5 months, they will be off by the time i leave, but i might have a small wire connecting a couple teeth for another couple months. the braces will be off , al there will be is the wire, will that keep me from getting to ship out?

my teeth arent spaced there jsut a bit crooked like in the front other than there okay
the front like on top there a few teeth that crooked but not extremely bad the teeth on the left nd right next to my 2 front teeth sticks out a bit nd the bottom front is a lil crooked would invisalign work or invisalign express

Can anybody please tell me about how much does a regular braces adjustment cost in Sydney (for an “international” patient – I come from Europe)? And also the removing of braces and getting (Essix) retainers?
I really need to know and would be very thankful if someone could give me any idea!

I got my braces off today and I am really happy with the way my upper teeth look. However, the lower front teeth are tilted outward. It is pretty noticable and when I inquired about it, I was told that it was necessary for them to tilt forward because of the crowding that I had. I don’t like the way that they look. Is there anything that can be done about this?

If so, what was your experience? Did you enjoy the people, the process, the end result?

I’m going into the orthodontist Friday what should I ask her . (because I want to become a dentist ) but I don’t know if I would be able to pull out a tooth from someone else is mouth I mite just get over that little problem . Do you think I will just get over it when I get older . And what question should I ask her about becoming a dentist

I have braces and I’m just wondering, when you get your elastics changed or anything like that and you have to visit the orthodontist’s office, do you look at the person changing them? I just find it really awkward… I don’t know if it’s rude not to look at them while they are doing it. I don’t though. Do you guys look at the person?

I am currently wearing braces and my orthodontist told me that I don’t have quite enough space in my mouth. She said she will be shaving in between my teeth to make more space.
Did your orthodontist do this for you??
Did it make enough space so your teeth aren’t flared out?
