The plastic inside edge towards the back of the lower aligners is bothering my tongue really badly. This is my second day, and it’s painful to talk or eat, not because of my teeth, but because of my tongue. Is there something I can do, or will it go away?

I had a severe overbite, so my orthodontist decided to put plastic on two of my upper molars to prevent me from biting off my lower brackets (we are not using rubber bands for treatment). When do I get used to my new bite? Or am I doomed to a liquid diet until the plastic is removed?

Not the ones that are just braces with clear plastic pieces on them but the ones that are like a clear plastic mouth guard that act like braces?
