I am having an orthodontist assesment soon, because my dentist says I need braces, but what will they do? No-one has told me yet. Thanx. xx

I got braces on June 30th.
Then my second appointment was Sep. 1st.
And my third appointment is October 27th.
I thought these appointments were every three weeks?
Why are mine so long apart? Is this normal?

I’m getting braces next month and I don’t know what color. Here are some of the details on my face?
Brown colored hair maybe A little lighter.
Hazel eyes. From far away they look brown but up close they are hazel.
I have tan-ish skin. Not that tan but tanner than most of my friends.
My lips are light pink. On the top lip though it looks a little darker.
I’m thinking about turquoise. What do you think? What color should I get? What color are your braces now?

Also, what is a good dental insurance that covers braces. I have slightly overcrowded teeth and i’m 16. My parents don’t have money to pay for it and i was just wondering if it was possible for me to pay it on my own if we switched insurances. I would loveee to have straight teeth. So ifyou could give me a few estimates it would be greatly appreciated
