No raw eggs either. I just got my separators put in (orthodontics), so since I can’t eat anything comfortably that isn’t in liquid form, the majority of my calories are coming from smoothies.

Hi, I am a college student also interested in dentistry. Here is what you should do:
-Get good enough high school grades to get into a good 4yr school with a decent science dept. Check up princetonreview.com or USnews, (i prefer princetonreview) to decide on a good college due to your own factors/preference. I would recommend going to a school that is on princetonreviews best 365 college list! (It would be wise to go to a good state/public school to save money as dental school is expensive!).
-Maintain a 3.4+gpa in college
-Visit your pre-med/pre-dent(or w/e they call it at your college) advisor in the first semester of your first year to establish that you want to become a dentist; he or she will help you.
-Shadow a dentist/or work in an internship with a dentist.
-Take the DAT around junior year +make sure you took all required courses for the school you wish to apply to!!.
-Get accepted into an accredited dental school(there are 53 in the U.S. I believe)
-Graduate after 4 yrs of dental school
-Apply to an Orthodontist residency program.
-Finish your residency, 2-3yrs.
-Pass your boards/license exams
Enjoy being the orthodontist you always dreamed of becoming =).
