I also have an open bite, which is when your bite doesnt close, wwhich is currently almsot closed thanks to orthodontics. But, my chin is still receeding, are there any excersizes i can do?

i have had the same braces on for a while now and like 4 or 5 is missing and i have no wire, im wondering where i can go to either get them fixed at a affordable price or where i can get them off for a afforable price. and i have a big hole in my back teeth. (this honestly embarassing)

Can you get herpes type 1 (oral) from a dental x-ray where you have to bite small plastic piece in the X-ray machine? I had a sore in my inner lip after few days I took the X-ray and I am horrified that I’ve caught herpes. Do they clean that plastic piece after each patient?

Hi, I’m 14 and got braces yesterday. I thought they were putting bottom and top brackets on (that’s what my parents told me), But Instead I got 8 spacers, 10 brackets on top, and the top wire. I really need help. I’m so sore, and in so much pain. My back bracket on the right side is lose and is poking me a lot ( l put wax on it). If a barely touch my teeth it fells like someone is hammering them. Same thing on the bottom cause of my spacers. I’m having braces for 2 years, and if they stay this way I can’t handle it! I have a high pain tolerance except for my teeth. I get my bottom braces on thursday and then have appointments every six weeks ( there self ligating InOvation braces ). After every appointment I figure skate for six hours, then pain was so bad it screwed with my jumps and spins! Tell it gets better!!! I take IB profen but it doesn’t numb it! I’m 5’4 1/2” and 86 pounds ( i’m under weight but not from a disorder, i have a very high metabolism ) so I can’t lose any weight, all i’ve eaten today is a small ice cream bar! Even soft food hurts, I tried to eat powdered donuts last night and I almost cried! So I put them in small peaces and dropped them in the back of my mouth and just swallowed, even that still hurt. THe dentist didn’t put the wire in so I don’t think they were tightened, why are they killing me! Please give me advice!!! Any special medications?
P.S. I got clear on top and am getting metal on bottom, does metal hurt worse!?!?!? And I’m sorry it’s so long!

if i get invisalign i have to wear it for 9 months. if i get porcelain veneers i think i might feel fake. i have a gap that i really don’t like and would like to change since it’s my senior year. can someone help me?
