okay, so im getting braces this december. And My orthodontics told me that im wearing it for 1year and half and after that, im going on a jaw surgery ! and he said i`ll have the braces for another year? .What Im wondering though is ? If i would ever go for jaw surgery ? Do i have to wear something like supporter like through around my head & jaw? for the whole year that im going to have with the braces on? .. =\ im really scared .. of the surgery. So please give me a good answer!!?!!

i have braces and i was wondering about why my brakets arent glued with this cement that other people have. mine are glued with this clearish thing.
what is it? and will it come off when my braces come off?
can placqe get under there and leave placqe scars UNDER the brakets? thanks

Okay well my mom is calling the orthodontist office and she is making me a consultation appointment and I wanted to know what all they due up until you get the braces on , Please help

What exactly do they do at the free consultation at the orthdodontics? What kind of X Rays do they do? (i gag when i get x rays placed in my mouth, is this different than those types?) And what else do they do?

I went to the ortho a few weeks ago, and got my braces. he said on that day that in 6months if i hadn’t lost my last baby tooth that he would “help it along” There is a tooth under it that is coming in so why would he say this?

The best place to go is to your local orthodontist. Talk to your dentist to see who he generally refers to, go for a consultation to see if you like the office and dentist and staff but choose one that is easy for you to get to because with ortho you will be having lots of adjustment appointment that only take a short time so an office where you can easily drop in close to home or work makes most sense.

I just had braces put on. At first the pain wasn’t bad till later that night now it hurts to even open my mouth. Pain reliver dosen’t work at all and I feel like I am gonna cry. Somebofy hrlp me get pain releif .

is there anyway to file your teeth without going to your orthodontist/dentist?

i looking in to different majors and i was wanted to know things in orthodontics, such as how long does schooling take? how many years? what do you deal with? i know that it is dealing with braces, but what else
