I just got my braces tightened and they hurt so bad that its geting to the point where its hard to eat!!! Any household remedies or medicine to stop this?

Because my teeth are very ugly. i have like a huge overbite. i would use regular braces but i don’t want my high school graduation picture to have me with braces but i also don’t want to have ugly teeth. and i know that i don’t have time to get the regular braces off before my high school graduation. i’m about to start school for my junior year.

I have had braces b4….but now i got MORE put on. i need a non-pill way to relieve my pain…..any suggestions?

I just got braces last week and I just found out about lnvisalign. And if i can switch, will it cost a lot of money to do so?

Okay, so i have braces at the moment. I have to have them on for 2 and a half more years. I dont exactly know what the stains from braces look like, but i have a phobia of them.
I brush my teeth once a day (i know, its horrible, but i have noo time..or i just forget…) and i drink and eat everything that im not supposed to. How can i prevent the stains on my teeth? Is there like, mouthwash or something? Thanks in Advance.

To fix some of my teeth I need a spring retainer which my orthodontist said would cost $400 +. So, I contacted an Orthodontics lab and the woman said she could take my impressions and make a custom spring retainer for $85 but she doesn’t usually take people in. I don’t have a prescription for a retainer from a dentist. So, basically I am going straight to where my orthodontist would get the retainer from. She has been working with orthodontists for 15 years so I trust she knows what she is doing but should I be worried that I am getting a retainer from a lab?

I just got rubber bands on my braces today, along with having the braces tightened. I am determined to keep the bands on, because I am so close to getting my braces off. I am getting headaches allot. How can I stop the pain at school and while I’m asleep?

Hi guys,
I have a dilemma. I originally planned to get braces over summer break since I don’t have to worry about school and stuff. But, I don’t know if I can wait that long.
If I were to get it over winter break, how long does it take for someone to recover? Since my break is around three weeks, I think that is enough time for me to adjust to braces.

I have had braces since august and it is now June. This hasn’t happened before but all of the sudden they are rubbing up against my cheeks. It doesn’t really hurt very bad, but I’m losing a lot of ‘mouth’. There are large crevices and indents in my cheeks and it’s getting worse. I’ve tried wax and Origel but it doesn’t stop it. HELP!
