im getting braces soon and i need to know?

I have been to many orthodontists over the years and they all have told me the same thing, I would need a palate expander. When I went to my current orthodontist he explained the expansion would come natural when I got damon braces. Any information would help. thnkx!

I would like to know the cost of Damon Braces and Speed Braces for a 1 year treatment (in CAD $ if possible)
Does anyone actually wear them? Are they better then conventional braces? Do you need expanders or head gears?

My son had a rapid palatal expander with problems so with my daughter I am thinking of going to an orthodontist who uses the Damon system (self-ligating braces). Their website/video of teeth straightening is impressive. Anyone have experience with it or poor results? I know everything in life seems to have a cost/benefit or risk.
