My Daughter’s Brace Now Has A Powerchain Power Chain. How Often Do These Need To Be Changed By Orthodontist?

My daughters next appointment is in 10 weeks and I am concerned the elastic powerchain will not be effective after 10 weeks. She has one on the top arch going across all her teeth and one on the bottom arch.

How Often Are Brackets Changed Out At The Orthodontist?

Do they change them out every time you go in or never? My friends can change there colors every time they go in, will I be able to with the metal brackets I have in now or are metal brackets like one of the colors you can get? Sorry about the questions, I’m just a little confused here.
