My bottom teeth are straight and in place, my top teeth are lined straight, however the whole set of my top teeth go to the right and somewhat over my bottom teeth. I don’t know if it’s the whole top jaw or not, but yeah. If I were to get braces on my top teeth only for this issue how much would it cost approximately and how long would I have to wear them for?

Is it possible to fix an open bite without surgery? I.e with orthodontics? My dentist told me that it’s not possible without surgery, is that true?
I ask because I seem to remember something about correcting it.

I know that after braces, you wear retainers, but isn’t that just for holding the position of your teeth? If so, how does your jaw/bite stay in place after taking off the elastics then?

right now i have a palatal expander and im at the stage where i’ve stopped turning it so the bone can set. The orthodontist says that these expanders are usually followed with braces but i dont want traditional metal braces. because my bottom teeth are crooked my top teeth wont sit perfectly on the bottom, so they just kind of off set themselves. can i get invisalign even though my bite is crooked?

My new dentist said that my bite was slightly mis-aligned and he referred me to an orthodontist. I had braces about 13 years ago and still wear my retainers at night. However, I didn’t really wear them 24 hours a day for the first six months after I got my braces off. My teeth are really straight, but my back teeth don’t touch when I bite down because the bone shifted. I’m anticipating hearing what the orthodontist is going to say and was wondering if anyone has any idea what he might do and how much it will cost?
