What is better for your teeth?

Overjet measures the HORIZONTAL difference between the front biting edge of your upper incisors vs. that of the lower incisors when your teeth are in their normal bite position (when all your teeth are biting together, what we call “maximum intercuspation”).
Overbite measures the VERTICAL overlap between the front biting edge of your upper incisors vs. that of the lower incisors when your teeth are in their normal bite position.
Overbite and overjet in themselves is only a small part of facial appearance, so on their own one can’t really say what is “more worse on facial profile.”
Hope this helps!

It really depends, if you are concerned about your looks when having braces, then you might as well choose lingual orthodontics.
Im not too sure if one or the other is faster but i know these are faster than regular braces (with the coloured rubber bands)http://www.gacinovation.com/
i had braces and Im not too sure if these are the braces I got but they look and seem like it. they are smaller and they are easier to move (meaning when your teeth change shape , it hurts less)
hope this really helps!
ps. i have my braces off now, my friends say they are so used to having me with my braces off i look different even though with those special braces on, it only took less than a FULL year.

I’ve been wearing braces for 2 years now and just found out that I have to have them on longer than anticipated. I have a space where I had a tooth extracted and its small enough to close. There is not another spot for an implant either. I am wearing thick rubber bands on that side. I am getting married in june and I want these braces off!! How long will it take to close the gap?

My orthodontist told me that I don’t have any more room to fix my class 2 bite. His solution is to place small sandpaper disks between my first 4 bottom teeth. This will slightly remove the top of the enamel, making those teeth thinner. The orthodontist’s assistant said that it would not be visually noticeable, and that it is not as scary as it seems. I personally am a bit frightened, and do not want let them ruin my teeth. Is the procedure safe, and should I do it?

I’ve been in braces since January and my gap in the front-top is just about closed. How much longer do I have to wait?
