I got my 4 biscupids extracted on last Friday for Braces. My dentist has already put the brackets on my upper teeth and I have an appointment on Wednesday to get the wire/braces on the upper teeth. My gums still pain a little and I have a couple of mouth ulcers. Should I wait more and postpone my appontment? or just get it over with?

Do they hurt? Did you get them on right away or did you get a different treatment before the braceS? How much did you pay?

My Orthodontist never said anything about putting spacers in for me. Why is this? I thought everyone needed spacers before getting braces? PS-I am getting teeth pulled for braces, does that change anything?

I have only 2.5 months this summer to get braces and I need to know which to see first – the orthodontist or the oral surgeon (teeth need to be removed). I assume the oral surgeon, but I’ve already seen him once and he says I need to see the orthodontist. What order should I make the appointments?

What if I don’t know if I’m pregnant or not when I get the x-rays? How would that effect my baby? Also, I need an expander first for about 4 months. Would they need to take x-rays between when I get that removed and when I get my actual braces on?

I recently got braces as an adult. Before the procedure began, the orthodontist took before and after pictures. This orthodontist took a picture of me while I was fully standing facing him and one picture of my side view fully standing. He then took pictures of my inner mouth when I was sitting. Is this a normal procedure? I was really weirded out by this.

Hi, i had my first consultation with my orthodontist a couple of days ago and i have to go back on the 15th of October to get my expander and on the 19th of October i will be getting my braces. On my Consultation why didn’t my orthodontist mold my teeth or they did was took pictures, check up my teeth and xray.

i’m just curious about this…beacause im planning to get braces after i turn 15 and i’m a little bit nervous because some says that the orthodontist gets two teeth from corner to corner before they put the braces on…
