I want braces. My teeth aren’t too bad, but many of them are crooked and I seem to have a bit of an overbite. I live in the Fredericton Area and I need to find out the average price so I can see how much I must save. Thanks!

I’m just curious. I plan on getting braces soon, and my insurance covers 2,000.00 towards a set of braces. How much is the average cost? OR How much did you pay for your set?

I have been researching this all over the web and can’t get a concrete estimate. I have been told around 5000, but I need to know for sure so I can know if I can afford to get a loan. I can’t seem to find an insurance policy that includes orthodontics and all oral surgeries are excluded on the policies. I know the braces will cost 5000. I can get assistance from the hospital to cover their costs, but still need to pay the surgeon and anesthesiologist.

i’m starting to look at colleges, and therefore am also starting to consider careers. one of my career choices is an orthodontist. i know this sounds terribly materialistic, but i want a career that will give room to spend money as i please and not worry too much about not having enough money to last the rest of the month.

My class seems to have 70% of people who have had or do have braces. Is this normal.

i need to fix 3 of my misaligned frontal teeth. i heard that invisalign costs about 5k, and in nyc (where i live) it costs over 7k. I called my insurance company and they wont help me pay. so how much should my treatment cost?
Dec
I’m supposed to begin Invisalign the first week of January. I was quoted a price of $4,800 for fourteen months of treatment and am just wondering if this sounds right. Between college, getting my wisdom teeth removed, Christmas and New Years, I really don’t have time to visit different dentists to compare prices. As well, even if I do go for a “free consultation” from another dentist, chances are he or she will want to do x-rays and possibly take a mold of my mouth to see if I qualify for the procedure, which will not be free. Furthermore, I don’t want to go to another dentist and tell him or her my current dentist has approved me for the treatment, as I want an unbiased quote… not one that simply “beats” the one I’ve been given. Thank you in advance.
