I’m currently in my couple weeks of treatment for Invisalign…. my ortho said to change the aligners every 2 weeks, but my top aligner has become fairly loose (meaning that the teeth have moved where they’re suppose to for that stage). In fact, I can pop them out with my tounge because they are so loose fitting now. It’s been about 10 days since I put this first set in and am wondering if I can go ahead and put in the next set… anyone know? I just put in the second set and they fit in fine (they’re a little tight, but so were the first ones when I put them in). Am I able to start wearing them at day 10?

For instance if one goes out with friends to a club/bar – do you really have to take the aligners out before you drink and then brush thereafter? If one drink throughs a straw – surely your teeth and aligners don’t get affected or?

Im only going to wear em at night for 3-4 days during a trip. I want to avoid the chance of losing them and the hassle of taking them out to eat and brushing after. Will it affect my treatment if i only wear them at night for a couple of days?

I normally use my mentadent toothpaste it has a clear side to it and i just brush them when i take them off but they are getting this little white film after I do this its like tootpaste residue but i do rinse them under water but still i get this film.

I just got them.
I know I’m supposed to take them out every time I eat or drink something, and brush my teeth before I put them back in, but does this apply too to cough drops?

can someone answer the following:

I tried to search google to find answers and I bumped into some orthodontics related statistics sites but couldnt find the exact answers.

I am almost done with my first week of wearing invisalign aligner. The first few days there was some discomfort, but its better now. Is it over, or am I going to have a few days discomfort with each new set of aligners? thanks

I have had my first set of aligners for 5 days now. Everything has been going smoothly, except for a head ache from the pressure on the first day. However, this morning I woke up to some irritation on the soft tissue of my mouth. It seems that the edge of the bottom aligner (at the front) has caused some mirco- cuts on the soft tissue (inside below my lips, which covers and has contact with my teeth) opposite from my teeth and aligner. It aligners must have been rubbing up against them to cause it. What do I do to ease the irritation and prevent it from getting worse?

I know we’re able to drink water without having to remove the aligners and brush before putting them back in, but what about with milk? Is there a reason I should be concerned with milk being pressed up against my teeth for hours on end?

Hi, i just got invisalign and i want to know if you have to take the aligners out when you smoke weed or can you keep them in?
