Lingual braces are the ones that are behind your teeth so no one can tell you have braces.

I have dental insurance in cobra but it does not cover adult braces. I am looking for a dental ins. that individuals can buy. I also heard there is ortho ins. as well. I have decided to try to buy the ins on my own because most group plans do not cover adult braces. I am not looking for those discount programs. This is a really hard topic to find on the internet! Any help would be appreciated.

I went on 4 consults and got 4 completely different opinions!

I have completely straight teeth and all adult teeth but the tooth is stuck up against another. I don’t think i need braces for one crowded tooth.

Could it be billed as medical if I got braces to correct my bite? It causes discomfort…esp. when eating certain things.

I am currently wearing braces and my orthodontist told me that I don’t have quite enough space in my mouth. She said she will be shaving in between my teeth to make more space.
Did your orthodontist do this for you??
Did it make enough space so your teeth aren’t flared out?

I’m an adult with crooked and crowded teeth. This has bothered me for many years and I am considering Invisalign and metal braces.
I had 3 consults; 1 said Invisalign, 1 said metal braces and 1 said either could work.

Okay, so i’m 23 and getting braces in two weeks. My orthodontist had four molars (they were bad and capped and filled) removed along with a baby tooth. However, i had to have an oral surgeon remove them and he knew it was for braces. However, i’ve read other places that the surgeon puts a bracket on the adult tooth that is still hiding while your under, but he didn’t do that for me? What is the next option? I dont want to have to go under again, that was not pleasurable!!

I am 26 years old, and I want to wear braces. I try to enroll a dental insurance to save money but failed to find one that covers orthodontics for adults of my age. Can anyone give me any recommendation for the dental insurance? Many many thanks.
