should i get clear (unfortunately my ortho doesn’t have the self-ligating so i’d be getting the 3m unitek traditional clear braces WITH clear ligatures) or metal? are clear braces really noticeable on crooked, yellow colored teeth?

I have a “slight” overbite.. I am calling this “slight” because my top teeth don’t cover my bottom teeth completely there’s still a bit visible and also, neither my top nor bottom teeth touch my gums…
I got braces about three days ago (self ligating on top).
How long does it generally taking to correct an overbite?

ive been to several different orthodontists and im having a tough time deciding which type of braces i should get. im debating between the traditional braces or the speed braces/self-ligating ones. some of the orthodontists say the speed braces dont work and they work just as same as the traditional ones and some of the other orthodontists recommend them. i dont know who or what to believe… HELP?

do you know what function does two wires that connect to the last 4molars on the upper teeth do? and why do i have my braces top and bottom upto my last molar .. im a bit confused and the dentist didnt explain this? I have self ligating braces.. the thing looks like an expander but i know its not cause it cant be tightend by me like regular expanders

My son had a rapid palatal expander with problems so with my daughter I am thinking of going to an orthodontist who uses the Damon system (self-ligating braces). Their website/video of teeth straightening is impressive. Anyone have experience with it or poor results? I know everything in life seems to have a cost/benefit or risk.

Im getting clear sapphire braces in 2 weeks time. Because they are clear my orhtodontist says I need to come in for appointments more frequently – every 5 weeks or so. Thats not the problem, the brackets are not self ligating and so he’ll have to put elastics and stuff on them, and I heard that hurts.
Can anyone tell me what happens at the checkups and how much it hurts? And how soon will I notice my teeth moving?

Im not talking about comparing prices, i was just wondering if it really does make a difference like..the treatment is shorter??..cus everyones different? and experiences?
