Shouldn’t The Orthodontist Be Financially Responsible For The Cost Of Repairing My Tooth Since They Cracked It?

I just got my braces removed today and the assistant who removed them was pretty rough and I noticed a crack line going down the center of my front tooth. I’m not sure if it will eventually split or break in the future but I think that it should be their responsibility if it does.
Any suggestions?

Have you asked them? Usually if something happens as a result of work that is done on teeth, such as braces, yes they will gladly fix it. Cracking is just something that happens sometimes. Not much that can be done about it -if the tooth is weak, it will break.
Did your Doctor have you sign a consent form for treatment? Usually whenever you have work done that causes a possibility of damage to surrounding teeth the Doctor will explain the risks with you and on most occasions have you sign a consent for treatment form, so unless you weren’t informed of the risks and unless you did not sign a consent, most likely it is you that is responsible for any damage to your teeth due to braces. I have been a Dental Assistant for 7 years, so I do have experience in this field.
