I am 26 years old this year and am looking to see an orthodontists for my braces. May I know what are the options for me? Are there any incentives for in the UK for international students? Should I go for a private dentist or visit the dental hospital in my area? Thanks!

  1. l would visit your dental hospital and see options. They check your teeth and see if you need braces, then when you do, it’s up to you whether you want removable braces or not. But l would get train track braces, they would benefit much better.
    Hope this helps :)

  2. you can have normal braces, or more expensive options are braces that go on the insides of your teeth (as opposed to the outside) — not many dentist do this though
there is also something called invisiline, which is basically a night guard that you wear (takes muuch longer than regular braces, and much more expensive) you need to take mouth impressions every 2 weeks, and they change the mouth guard slowly to change the position of your teeth.
as for regular braces you can have the normal ones which you have an option for colours, or just plain metal. or you can have invisible braces which is metal covered with this white stuff to make them “invisible”.

  3. hi I got invisalign and paid £3000 they are the biggest waste of money – if I was you I could get glued on braces because they def give a better job. I think NHS are just as good as private dentists – maybe just longer waiting lists though
