   i needed this procedure and i was referred to an oral surgeon by my orthodontist. The surgery is quite simple and recovery was quite simple.

   dentist can do it but they prefer not to, thats why they send you to someone else besides orthodontics are more skilled at that

   oral surgeons do it better, though dental GP can do it, if its simple
