I Have An Under-bite And I’m Going To See An Orthodontist For The First Time?

What do they do? My other dentist noticed I had an under-bite and said braces could fix it, but my teeth are naturally straight, the only problem is my under-bite. I’ve never been to an orthodontist before so what do they do? Do take clean your teeth, take pictures, etc?
Orthodontists specialize in rearranging teeth (braces). they may give you braces to move your teeth so you wont have an under-bite anymore; braces can do more than just straiten your teeth.
Well at your first appointment they will not give you braces. You will get impressions (moulds of teeth), xrays and maybe pictures. Braces will fix your underbite even if you already have perfect teeth.
