Okay, recently I got metal braces because my mom was told only adults can get invisalign. I hate these metal braces and I seriously think my dentist messed up on them. My teeth are overcrowded and I have a bit of an overbite. My baby teeth didn’t want to come out so my adult teeth started growing in all the wrong places while my baby teeth were still there. So my dentist pulled all the baby teeth and is going to pull some permanent ones soon. But I just don’t like the sound of any of this. I really would prefer invisalign, but yeah…they say I’m too young. I’m 15, and have heard that alot of other teenagers have gotten them. so was I fed a load of bull or what?

I have had braces for 2 years now. Just went to the orthodontics again and he put these rubber bands on my braces. They are attached from the front to the bottom of my canines. It hurts a lot and it’s not practical because I can’t move my mouth properly and it looks really weird. I have to wear it for 6 or 7 weeks and I start uni before this.
What are they and why do I need them?

I’m currently in high school.
I know I have to go to college and then to dental school, but what should I major in in college? Pre-dentistry?
I’d like to go to college in New England, or the Mid-Atlantic States (Delaware, New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland), any ideas?
After that is dental school, and I have an idea of where I want to go, Tufts University.
After that, what do I do?
