Yes, each of those expenses is an allowable medical expense, assuming that you didn’t receive any reimbursement from a medical plan for them.
To claim them you total your medical expenses. In order to receive a credit your medical expenses need to exceed 3% of your Net Income to a maximum of $1,884 (net income of $62,800). The credit is put on S1 and ON 428 for Ontario.
So as an example if you have $2000 in medical expenses and $30K in income you have an allowed claim of $2,000 – ($30,000 X .03) = $1,100.
The tax credit is worth 15.25% of the allowed claim Federally and 6.05% Ontario.
The below link goes to CRAs information on claiming medical expenses.
Hope that helps.
Cheers.

One of my friend got his wisdom teeth pulled out, but i think they took his braces off. I have braces right now, and i was wondering if i’m getting my wisdom teeth pulled out or not. They already grew. Thanks!

My daughters next appointment is in 10 weeks and I am concerned the elastic powerchain will not be effective after 10 weeks. She has one on the top arch going across all her teeth and one on the bottom arch.
Thanks

I can only assume they don’t value dentistry and orthodontics like americans do. It can’t be a coincidence that nearly every brit i see on tv, magazines, etc. have a less than desirable set of chompers.

It seems the braces would obstruct him being able to work on one’s teeth. Also, is it preferable to get braces after having all dental work done or does it matter?
