Will Whitening Strips Mess Up Invisalign?

I just got my metal braces off and I now have Invisalign to use as a retainer. I want to whiten my teeth a little more so I’ve bought some whitening strips. Will the chemicals from the strips left on my teeth hurt or discolor the Invisalign when I put my retainer back in after I’ve finished with the strips?
the strips should not harm yoru retainer .i did the same during retention phase i guess after getting all metal out its a natural desire to whiten them . strips do work to a certain degree.
