When Will The Orthodontist Put Spacers In?

So I already had my consultation, and my next appointment is for molds and x-rays. My question is, will they put spacers in during the molds and x-rays appointment? Or do they schedule a 3rd appointment, put spacers in, and schedule another for braces?
I just had my x-ray appointment on this past wednesday 6-17-09 and we schedualed an appt. for me to get top and bottom spacers on 7-6-09 and then 1 week later on 7-13-09 I am getting top and bottom Quads and top and bottom Braces
For me, spacers was a completely different appointment, then braces about two weeks after getting spacers, but it depends on how quickly your teeth move.
