What’s The Price Of Braces Compared To Invisalign?

I heard that braces are usually around 4,000-5,000 and invisalign is like 3,000…. really?
I thought invisalign was more expensive and insurance doesn’t cover it. I just got braces on in July (ceramic on top which costs more and metal on the bottom) that I have to wear for 2 1/2 years. Insurance only covers 2 years so I have to pay for the 1/2 year visit out of pocket. I paid everything up front so I don’t owe them a penny anymore and it came up close to $4000 (that includes the braces and everything else that need to be done).
Invisalign was not an option for me so I do not know how much that would have cost compared to braces.
