  1. rubber bands connect from your upper braces to your lower braces.
its has nothing to do with getting teeth taken out.
all people with braces normally get them.
it just means youre getting pretty close to getting your braces off.

  2. well i have braces too and i use 2 different types of elastics or rubber bands
theyre really tiny elastics that go on both sides of your mouth on little hooks clipped on to your brackets
the reason you need then is because the braces and the wire can only straighten your teeth and pull them together
but like in my case my over bite isnt straight which just means in most cases that the line inbetween the your top two “bunny” teeth isnt inline with the centre bottom two
so the elastics bassically move your teeth so that each side is semetrical
just make sure you wear them acording to when youre told or you might extend your treatment time
also if your overbite is too small or too big its pulls your teeth back or forward (your orthodontist will give you different sizes at you go through)
    hope it helped

  3. The rubber bands are to close the spaces in your teeth and correct your bite. Your teeth hurt when you wear them because you are moving your teeth which causes discomfort and pain. When they say short time, it’s when you leave them off for an hour, so a few minutes is definitely okay!! If I were you, I’d wear them, because then you will get your braces off faster!!

  4. not to do with teeth removed
the rubber bands will connect the top and bottom teeth at an angle
the force of the band will pull your jaw gradually in one direction
it will correct an overbite or underbite, depending on the angle of the bands

  5. it means ur in 4 a lot of pain. its to pull your teeth a direction or way that ur wire cant. i’ve had them 4 about a year. u take them out when u eat tho, but it still hurts the first couple of days

  6. Most likely he means to fix an overbite or to close a gap. I’m still waiting for bands (-.-) but that’s the reason I’m getting them.

  7. They will install hooks on your brackets and have you put little tiny rubber bands around them to pull your teeth down. Thats what i am doing now.

  8. to keep your teeth in line………so u wont have a overbite or a underbite
