My Orthodontist Wants To Grind My Front Teeth After My Braces Come Off – They Tilt To The Left. Is This Normal?

I’m told my jaws are nor entirely symmetrical, but I worry about that there is another way that I’m not informed about. The line between my front teeth does not line up with the tip of my nose and if my jaw grows some more, my teeth might have been ground for nothing.
after i got my braces off my orthodontist ground a little bit off my right front tooth because it was about three milimeters longer than the other (looked pretty funny actually) and another of my friends had one of her teeth ground down a litte too. so it happens fairly often.
i doubt your jaw will grow too much more because they dont put your braces on until youve stopped moving and growing too much. your jaw may move a little, but probably not enough to notice it in your teeth.
however if your jaw isnt symmetrical (like greatly out) and the midlle of your teeth does not line up with your nose (again, only if it is more than a few milimeters out) then you shouldnt be getting your braces off yet and your orthodontist should fix that too. its what youve paid him unbelievably large amounts of money for.
Maybe you should request your xrays and get a 2nd opinion. If you are not comfortable with what you are being advised, alway get another opinion from a completely seperate prefessional, from another practice.
I have braces too. I would say that let the orthadontist do what he thinks is best.
