He said if I want my teeth to stay straight that I should wear my retainers every night for the rest of my life. They hurt like KRAZY I’ve had them since last year and they STILL hurt. What should I do?
You should wear your retainers for the rest of your life. It does not have to be every day. After you get your braces off, it should be daily. But after a few months you can should wear your retainers at least once a week.
go to a different orthodontist. my cousin had a bad experience and had had invisalign for a year and a half and now she is back to the regular braces. she is 26 years old and it sucks lol. not to mention i’ve had regular braces for 2 years and ive had them off for 5 years and my teeth are still straight without having to wear my retainer for the rest of my life
did you go a long period of time without wearing them? my best guess is that that’s what happened and your teeth shifted, so now they hurt when you put them on…but that might not be the case.
