I really don’t want to get braces. I heard they hurt and they are a pain to floss. Invisalign is the exact opposite. Does age matter because I heard of Invisalign Teen? I only have a mild gap not that big, and I don’t want to wear braces because they take 2years…any suggestions for me please?

I’m the same age as you and I have isnvisalign. The pain about it is you have to take it out everytime you eat or drink anything (except for water). I would reccomend only getting invisalign if your mouth is very sesitive to pain. If you get braces, it doesn’t take as long, and you don’t have to take it out. And just if you want to know invisalign is not invisible, you can see the plastic.
Hope i helped!
Well i have braces but my teeth look like a war zone, they take 2 years because only people with really messed up teeth need them they are for severe straightening. If u only have a slight gap invisalign is probably best there is no age limit one of my friends is 13 right now and he has them. But It will still take about a year for it to close but u can take them out to brush your teeth, eat, and floss hope i helped
You may benefit from the invisalign, but braces would be a faster fix. It’s not as hard to floss as you would think. I got a little tool that looked like an oversize plastic sewing needle to help with flossing.
I got the invisalign after my braces as a retainer. I would have gladly taken the old fashion metal retainers over the invisalign any day.
Im assuming the slight diastema or gap is located in your centrals. Considering your age, you probably don’t need anything done to your teeth, if they’re all healthy. The diastema may be gone in another couple years on its own over time as teeth shift towards your centrals, called ‘mesial drift.’
@ 12 y/o, you don’t get braces simply for a gap between your teeth;; you have a lot of growing still to do, & that includes your gap possibly “filling in”; now, if there is a problem with many teeth being placed out of alignment, braces will correct the problem;; but if I were you I would be asking your dentist these questions on your next routine visit;; he can actually SEE your teeth, roots & all…good luck
I like to use a Gripit Floss Holder – http://www.gripit.biz – to floss regularly.
These handy devices come with their own floss supply that can be
advanced in seconds and refilled from local drug and grocery stores.
My grandkids like to use them too. They last a lifetime and don’t clog
landfills. I’ve used my Gripit for 35 years.
