If You Dont Wear The Elastic Bands That Your Orthodontist Gives U, What Are The Effects?

I’ve worn them for a whole month, they have made a difference in the first day, but for the other 29 days, its been the same.. plus its VERY annoying having them on, what will happen to me if i dont continue wearing them?
You end up wearing your braces much longer than you really need to….if it wasn’t necessary to wear them to help your teeth move…he wouldn’t tell you to wear them……you should follow the orthodontist instructions….
Well you really should continue wearing them because even though you saw a difference on the first day, your teeth need to stay in position and get used to it. If you stop wearing them you only add on extra time of wearing your braces because you didn’t do what the orthodontist advised. I got sick of elastic bands wen i had braces and didn’t wear them for a month, I had to wear my braces for even longer! so just wear them, the results will be worth it!
Well i wore them all the time and I have to say that they did nothing, my top and bottom teeth are perfectly straight but my jaw is still not aligned properly meaning I can’t chew properly.
Wear them anyway as directed cos it may have been that i was an exception.
I had braces for 5 years!
it pulls your entire jaw back. so instead of align your teeth, like hte bracers do. it alignes your upper and lower teeth to the point where they should be.
Your teeth don’t straighten out like they should and you are wasting your money or your parent’s money.
