I heard you could go to school in Rosarito and still be certified in San Diego? Can someone please give me information?
How many years would this take me and is there a accelerated course?

  1. You would need to take the pre-dental science necessary to take the dental school entrance exam (biology, anatomy, physics, chemistry, biochemistry and whatever you don’t already have). Dental schools are VERY compoetitive, so you would need a good GPA plus all As in the pre-reqs.
Dental school is then four years, with many clinical hours so you really can’t work the last two years. Often, for orthodontia, there are post-graduate programs that provide the advanced education to pass those boards.
With a dental degree, you can practice anywhere in the state where you are licensed. If you are referring to some other type of dental professional, you should contact the licensing for that profession with your state’s licensing boards.
