I am just looking for some answers as i am getting them adjusted every 4 weeks and i have spoken to other people that have had braces and they say every 6 – 7 weeks. The 4 week adjustment time is my idea as i do not want to have them for very long, so my orthadontist said i can have them adjusted earlier. Has anyone experienced this and has the estimated time been shortened.
my braces were adjusted about every 4 weeks . i think this is about normal. sometimes i was out of town and i went up to eight weeks but that just makes it take longer to get finished at the end i went every two weeks to speed it up.
Yes, it helps. Also make sure you ALWAYS wear your retainer when your braces come off. ALWAYS! I still wear mine decades later. Best wishes.

I think it depends on the work being done and the person’s progress. My daughter goes every 6-8 weeks but my friends son goes every 4 weeks to the same ortho…

The decision of adjustments should be decided by your orthodontist because the sucess of the alteration should be able to be detected professionally by him/her.

well as long as you have braces you will be making dental visits every month because every month they adjust your braces
I had mine adjusted every 4 weeks. It depends on what your orthodontist recommends. I had my braces for 4 years
but it was sooo well worth it!! And Rhonda is right, ALWAYS wear your retainer, even 10 years later, my orthodontist still recommends wearing my retainers at night.
