I just got rubber bands on my braces today, along with having the braces tightened. I am determined to keep the bands on, because I am so close to getting my braces off. I am getting headaches allot. How can I stop the pain at school and while I’m asleep?

I suggest you call your orthodontist and ask for their advice. Typically, treatments for pain include anti-inflammatory drugs (like Advil) or using a heat source (warm moist towel, heating pad, etc.) to relax the muscles.
Your headaches may be caused by you clenching your jaws (a normal response to the tooth discomfort). Are you tense?
Sometimes I’ve chewed gum when I’m in pain. I’m not supposed to do that, but it does help me to “vent” my aches and pains and take my mind off of my achy teeth.
Otherwise, you may just have to tough it out. The pain should go away over time. If you still have pain and get headaches after a week or so, you should talk to your orthodontist about it.
i used to have rubber bands(finally got them off thank goodness) and to relieve the pain you can try swishing a mouthful of water around in your mouth, sucking on something cold and definitley take a pain killer
