Financial Assistance For Kid Who Desperately Needs Braces?

Does anyone know of any financial assistance for a kid who needs braces bad but cannot afford $6000.00 for them. My son has Florida kidcare but his dental insurance does not cover orthodontics. Any ideas?
If you can find a dental training school in your nearby area, they can do treatment for training purposes or research for a fraction of the cost.
