I also heard about dental students,in dental schools. how effect is that and where can i find a dental school?
Dental schools are a cheap way to go, but you only get to register at certain times throughout the year! (I did that also).. sometimes you have to wait 3 months to even get seen! (they work around the students schedules)
if you want a bit more immediate results you could try AmeriPlan USA. They are a health benefits company who sells medical benefits for lower prices than insurance companies and give you excellent discounts. Braces (your need) would be 58% off. So you would only pay $2100 of $5,000. The cost of the plan is $19.95 a month. and you can go to any provider in our network. So if you got them on in NY.. and went traveling and something happened you could stop in at a providing dentist office and get them repaired. I have the plan myself and love it! I had to get a crown and i saved about 700 bucks!

Try the NYU College of Dentistry Dental Clinic. You may be able to get the services at a fraction of the cost.
Here is an option for you. Try a discount dental plan. It covers braces and you will save up to 60% on the regular cost of braces. So for example if braces are $5,000-5,500 approx. you will only have to pay $2,100-2,250 approx. Thats more than half off.
This dental plan is only $19.95 a month to receive these discounts. There are many many providers in Nassau County.
Take a look at this website, you can locate providers and see if this is something you would consider. It would save you alot of money.

Dental schools are your best bet. They charge on a sliding scale. The only one I know of is in Suffolk County…Stony Brook.
