I got 6 veneers on the top row of my teeth 4 years ago to cover a gap that I used to have, for two reasons: i didnt want braces, and because I had a chipped tooth in the front. But now I have a HUGE overbite that i want to get rid of (huge as in you cannot eve see my bottom row of teeth). nobody notices but, it annoys me. Can i get invisalign to fix this problem?

  1. Unfortunately, no.
Invisalign is great if you just have crowded teeth, but problems with the bite itself can only be treated with braces.
You may want to find out from your dentist if you can get a bite plane.
It is an orthodontic appliance you wear like a retainer.
It separates your back teeth allowing them to erupt further, in turn opening up your overbite.
It is very effective, but must be worn 24/7, including eating. (it only comes out for brushing your teeth)
Hope that helped, and good luck.

  2. Invisialign is not the best option for severe cases. Plus there are many hidden fees with invisialign that get passed onto the patient. also you dentist has little control since the aligners are made by a machine in costa rica, where as and ortho dontist can make corrections then and there. since the orthodontist designt eh trays not the a comp in costa rica, which can take several weeks to get back as it passes customs.
    my 2 cents.
