When I grow up, I want to be an orthodontist. I looked up orthodontics online and I came across salaries. It says if you work with other orthodontists under someone, you get payed an average $170,000. But private practice, they can make well over $400,000. How does one establish their own private practice? I have been pondering about this question for a while so informative answers will be very much appreciated

Also, what happens if they don’t? The orthodontist seemed to have trouble making a mold of my teeth and I’m worried that it might not have been done properly.

1) How big is the orthodontics market of the US, in terms of dollars ?
2) How big is this market of the world ?
3) How many new cases of braces treatment is done per month in US ?
4) How many such treatments are done per month in the World ?
I tried to search google to find answers and I bumped into some orthodontics related statistics sites but couldnt find the exact answers.

I haven’t wore my retainer in a while, and my teeth have obviously shifted due to it. Is it possible to get a retainer made to fit them now, or will I have to go back to braces?

I am a college student, who recently got braces and it has been an ordeal coming up with quick healthy lunches that I can eat. I do not have access to a microwave so it makes things even more complicated. I am tired of the same old sandwich. When my braces aren’t forcing me to eat jello and yogurt, I want to enjoy my lunch! Please help !
