my bff still has braces, and her teeth are kinda getting gross. i’ve hinted to her about it, but idk what to really say! i don’t want her to look bad, but it’s not like she can whiten her teeth cause of braces. how can i tell her (without being rude) that she needs to do something about her teeth. and what should she do with her teeth?
This is one of the hardest things to decide on, I too, had a friend with braces who didn’t take care of his teeth. And I also had braces.
I tried to hint it to him but he never changed. So finally, I just had to say straight up “*insert name here* you gotta start brushing your teeth better man, I’m sorry but it looks pretty bad.”
It may have hurt his feelings, but it stopped the problem and we’re still great friends.
And for a while, my own teeth weren’t looking to good and while my friends and I were messing around insulting each other, one of them said to me “shut up! go brush your teeth!”. I brushed it off but when I got home I felt pretty self concious about it and made em white as pearls.
So sometimes, face to face talks can benefit everyone.
There’s not that much she can do, she’s dealing w/ a lot. Believe me. Just be honest, she will thank u in the long run if her teeth look realy yellow or whatever. It might hurt her feelings, but at least she knows u wont “sugar coat” what u say, and she will like the honesty. Good luck with it.
wash her teeth, say wanna try out a new brand of toothpaste?
i dont think she can really do anything, because she cant really get them romoved if she wants perfect teeth, does it look gross because she cant brush them all the way or something? then just tell her as sweetly as possible that she still has a little something in her teeth :/ hope this helps
Tell her that she HAS to take car of her teeth or she will have white spots on them. I know from experience that when you get your braces off, dentists can tell how well u brushed your teeth by seeing the white spots (also known as re-healed cavities) on the front of your teeth. white strips DONT help so press this issue with her!! Tell her to take care of her teeth because when u get them off you will have white spots for the REST OF YOUR LIFE! (im not kidding..)
tell her in a joking mannor be like ur teeth are getting yellow brush girl or
u have things in ur braces wat a surprise
she’ll be like shut up and be like u seriously do!!!
whenever she’s around u tell her take the things out of her teeth so that wen u take them off you’ll look beautiful cuse if u dont it will leave marks
