What Kind Of Education Do You Need To Become And Orthodontist?

What kind of education do you need to become and orthodontist? i really want to become and orthodontist when i grow up. i got excepted to a vo-tech school is that a bad idea or should i just go to a regular high school for this career. well anyways i want to become an orthodontist but what exactly do you need as in(how many years in college, how many years of dental school and what afterwards) also i am an average student. Do you think i am capable of accomplishing my dream?
Regular college, then Dental School, then a Orthodontist School on top of that. I have a friend doing it and I think after 4 years of college, then 4 years of dental school, she is now in Orthodontist school and that’s like 2 years more. But when you get out you make a LOAD of money, so it’s worth it if you really like your job! You will have to get good grades in college to get into Dental school, though. But what’s most important is that you show you have passion for the job.

do you need to go completely through dental school–than 2 more years
BTW–this is a higher ed question–not a special ed question..
votech depends on what vocations they have–in my area they have health careers in vo tech
