ok so i am getting braces in a few months and i was wondering if this process meant needles? any kind? and if so where? please im like freaking out!

haha, but yeah, had them for 3 freakin years.
When i got my braces, the put the top ones only..
after like 5 months I got my bottom.
No needles, dont be scared.
They mightve put putty like stuff to take impression, try not to choke and breathe thru your nose.
They will be banding you which means glueing your square things on with a light.. when they clean it, it will taste a weird sour taste…. not the best..
it will start to hurt after about 5 hours of having braces.
yikes.. haha, it would be sore for about 3 whole days, and then it wouldnt hurt as bad.
just make sure not to eat anything hard.
oh and get wax, because your skin will get irritated.
it will start to change your teeth after about 2 months you can see a difference, if you have a gap or something. longer if its crooked.
you will start to look better when its pretty straight.
good colors, umm blue, purple, silver, pink, DONT GET WHITE, it will stain and look yellowy orange.
ive answered these type of questions, so here is another one of my answers:
Ok when you first go you then get spacers which is very painful (it feels like a big chunk of meat stuck between your teeth) Then you go to your next to pull the it out (WOOHOO) Then they put your brackets on but you don’t get your wire on yet. They will give some wax to put on if it irritates your cheeks. After a few days you go to put on the wire. It doesn’t hurt yet. When you go to sleep it will start to hurt. About a week it will stopped hurting. Getting it tightening doesn’t hurt either. They just switch wires and changes colors. Just remember to brush your teeth and it will not hurt. Oh yeah remember that you got braces for straight teeth! Yeah they do put this silly putty thing to get your teeth impressions yeah it might choke you but it didn’t me just remember to breathe thru your nose. The week when you just stat getting braces take a pain-relieving medicine for the pain. Yeah it would hurt when you press on your teeth or you bite your hamburger. I know they warned you not to eat hard sticky chewy food but I tried all and it doesnt do anything

Oh, no way! Don’t worry, there are absolutely NO needles involved. It doesn’t hurt to have braces put on, it just feels a bit uncomfortable. They’ll just put a plastic thing in your mouth to hold it open, glue on each little peice and then use this weird light thing to dry the glue. Then they’ll put on the wires and voila, you have braces!
When I got braces there we no needles.
The only thing that I hated about the whole thing, was that you had to keep your mouth open for a while and the taste of the “glue” that they put on your teeth (for the brackets).
Don’t freak out about braces. Your teeth will be great when you get them off. Besides you get to choose your colors! Good luck!
P.S. If you are worried still about it hurting you can use Advil or something like that.

did your dentist not go over this with you?
all they do is put tooth cement on each tooth that is getting a bracket, then they put the brackets on those teeth. They dry the cement with a light then they put in the wire. Rubber band it and you are good to go.
The procedure it painless but after your teeth will feel tight.
Its not as bad as you think.
nooo neddles! thank gawd hahah i have braces im getting them off next month when you first get them on its gunna hurt like hell!!!! but no needles it will only hurt for like 5 days mabye 6 but then if you go every month to get the rubber bands changed and wires changed it will hurt for like only 2 days after the oppintment.
You shouldn’t freak out. Just remember that you will be sore but it will last for a week only. Also brush and floss because if your hygiene is not good you gums will end up irritated and swollen. Oh,and before you get your braces make sure you eat a good meal.♠♠
BEFORE i get braces when i has a gum surgery i had A LOT of needeles to inject numbing stuff..i hod 4 shots on the roof of my mouth OWIE
but i was so scared of more needled i asked my orthadontist and he said “no needles ever for braces”
so
i guess it depends what your getting done, everyones teeth need to be corrected in a different way so in your cause maybe, but for me i just had a over bite so i had no needles at all.

If you’re just having braces and aren’t having any teeth out or anything then there are NO needles =]
I had braces a few years back, and trust me they are worth it when you have them taken out – I was amazed at the result
no needles..maybe something on your gums to numb the pain , im not sure ive never had them. but the braces could snap and poke ur gums, happened to my friend once, but he was messing with them a lot
nothing whatsoever like needles except for regular dental tools tere is nothing at all sharp except maybe…welll…..ur braces
There arent any needles so dont freak out.
no needles when i got mine…..and it didnt even hurt for me…but it depends on your orthodontist
when i got d braces…….i was injected at 4 places……they inject u on the gums to numb d pain….initially it pains but after it becomes normal…..
